FINNEGANS IRISH PUB NIGHT

Finnegans Irish Pub, Plaza de las Salesas 9, on the corner of C/ Santo Tomé, metro: Alonso Martinez. The Canterbury Club will celebrate its first "Pub Night" of this new year of English teaching and classes, with a tradition that began (empezó) in 1996. Pub Night (and all club events) is a great time (momento estupendo) to meet other Canterbury professors, friends and students, and it is at that early Autumn (Otoño) time of year where many new friendships begin.

SEGOBRICA ROMAN CITY & UCLES MONASTRY TRIP & TALENT SHOW

Meeting Point: At Canterbury entrance, C/ Gran Via 54, Metro Santo Domingo. Trip Description: Segóbriga is an amazing Roman city that was discovered about 30 years ago near Madrid. Archaeologists have uncovered a Roman Theatre, Amphitheatre, Forum, Baths and more. Segóbriga is situated in a lovely bucolic setting, surrounded by the fields and hills of Saelices. After a delicious Castilian lunch, washed down by a good Valdepeñas wine, we will explore the impressive Middle Age fortress and Monastry of Uclés, part of the history and battles of Spain.
